Recognising A Recipe
I was reading one of my many cook books today, as I do. I have literally hundreds of them, and still buy more. Of course, you don’t actually need cook books at all anymore if you have access to the internet. There are millions of recipes of all kinds available there. Many, many more than could ever be needed in any lifetime.
I do love them though. I love all kinds of books, and have now decided that my love of books in general, and cook books in particular is going to continue to be indulged.
I often take a cook book down of the shelf and either flick through it, looking at various recipes that catch my eye, or read it from front to back, like a novel.
Today, I was reading Nigella Lawson’s lovely book, Kitchen. I love her ideas and flavour combinations. When I put the link in to show you the book, the price was showing as £18, but there were also options to buy second hand from 50p
As I was noting down the odd recipe to make, I suddenly stopped, because there, on the page, was CFR’s Chocolate Nut Cheesecake! I was really surprised to see it as I thought the CFR team had invented that!
It had, of course, been suitably frugalised 🙂
